Lost sheep need a Good Shepherd. The life of a sheep is dependent upon the care and faithfulness of the Shepherd. In the case of people, we are all like sheep gone astray (Isaiah 53:6). The Good Shepherd is on the lookout for lost sheep. And though they’re may have been others, wolves, that have hurt and harmed you the Good Shepherd has come, He has given His life for you, and wants to bring you under His careful hand. The Good Shepherd gives you His life and gives it abundantly.
“All we like sheep have gone astray; We have turned, every one, to his own way; And the Lord has laid on Him the iniquity of us all.” Isaiah 53:6
“I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd gives His life for the sheep. But a hireling, he who is not the shepherd, one who does not own the sheep, sees the wolf coming and leaves the sheep and flees; and the wolf catches the sheep and scatters them. The hireling flees because he is a hireling and does not care about the sheep.” John 10:11-13
