“If sinners will be damned, at least let them leap to hell over our bodies. And if they will perish, let them perish with our arms about their knees, imploring them to stay. If hell must be filled, at least let it be filled in the teeth of our exertions, and let not one go there unwarned and un-prayed for.” Charles Spurgeon

We must have our hearts burdened for the lost of this world if we truly desire to see people saved. In Romans nine and ten, the Apostle Paul speaks of his burden for his countrymen, the nation of Israel. His desire was so strong that if he could he would be accursed for the salvation of his nation. What a burden!

“I tell the truth in Christ, I am not lying, my conscience also bearing me witness in the Holy Spirit, that I have great sorrow and continual grief in my heart. For I could wish that I myself were accursed from Christ for my brethren, my countrymen according to the flesh..” Romans 9:1-3

“Brethren, my heart’s desire and prayer to God for Israel is that they may be saved.” Romans 10:1
